Science
The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Science was established in 1978. The Korean Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science (KJCLS) is the official journal of the Korean Association of Medical Technologists. KJCLS is published by the Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. KJCLS is published on the last day of every March, June, September, and December. KJCLS is indexed by NRF (National Research Foundation Fund of Korea)’s KCI (Korean Citation Index).

The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Immunology was established in 1988. Over 800 members and 36 Specialists in Immunology(KAMT) are actively working with us as of 2015.

Microbiology
The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Microbiology was established in 1988. Over 800 members, 384 Specialists in Microbiology(KAMT) and 69 Infection Control Microbiological Technologists are actively working with us as of 2015. As a major issue, we are preparing to table legislation allowing medical technologists to be included as professionals of infection management.

The Korean Society for Histology & Cytology was established in 1988. Over 1,400 members are actively working with us as of 2015. We produced the first Cytotechnologist, CT(IAC) in 1979, and a total of 611 Cytotechnologists, CT(IAC or KAC/KAMT) as of 2015. The Korean Association of Cytotechnologists gained a full membership of The Korean Society for Cytopathology in 1996. We also have produced 104 Specialists in Histology(KAMT) since 2012.

Medicine Technology
The Korean Society for Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technology was established in 1988. Over 250 members and 45 Specialists in Nuclear medicine technologist(KAMT) are actively working with us as of 2015. The Korean Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology is composed of Radiological Technologists division and Medical Technologists division. The Korean Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology manages symposiums and scientific journals.

The Korean Society for Public Health Laboratory was established in 1993. Over 750 members are actively working with us as of 2015. Main members are medical technologists who work at public hospitals, community health centers, quarantine stations, the Institute of Public Health and Environment Research, etc.

The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Physiology was established in 1994. Over 1,400 members are actively working with us as of 2015. We have following study groups: EEG, PSG, EMG, INM, EP, TCD, EKG, Echocardiography, Pulmonary function test, Vestibular function test.

The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Information was established in 1998. Over 500 members are actively working with us as of 2015. Main members are medical technologists who work at medical institutions, medical appliance manufacturers, etc. They focus on business management, authorized judgment, quality management, information system and instrument maintenance.

The Korean Society for Clinical Laboratory Genetics was established in 2019. Over 300 members are actively working with us as of 2019. We have following study groups: Cytogenetics (chromosome) and Molecular genetics (gene).
